Technically yes I think you could demand a refund, but in practice it kinda works both ways in my view in that the deposit is a good faith gesture that you're going to buy something and most likely I would be buying from them at some point anyway so a credit would be fine if it was me (but as I say, I'm just speaking for myself).

Yes you are right, the do have to issue you with a full refund if you request it. They are able to OFFER you a credit note, and if you accept that is seen as fair game.

I would be spending that £10 sooner or later (probably sooner unfortunately) so its not too much of an issue
