• esky belt cp

took from a private message between pxr5 and myself. please read and comment on dx7, rx pack, bec and anything else you want to

thats a good idea about the sports hall at old school. my old school is miles away though. i was thinking about booking a game of squash but take my heli in there instead lol
i just want to take my time with it and make sure everything is right. i want to get the carbon main frame like dashiks and all those cnc bits so not much point in building it and then have to stripp it all off again. i think its dashik who has the dx7. i dont think you need a seperate rx pack but you might need a bec device although most esc have there own built-in bec.

paying for a game of squash and taking the heli isnt a bad idea.

anyway - check out this link. look at belt cp spare parts not just belt cp upgrades. you will find alot more stuff.

i will copy and paste this to the thread aswell to see if any1 else has advice on the dx7, rx pack and bec.
cheers

Well All I did when my Belt CP was a 'Standard' one was install the Ar6200 and setup the DX7. You do not need a bec as far as I know and I'm still not using one. Its not a problem with this heli in my experiance.

Neither do you need a separate Rx pack.

So pxr5 you now have to wait longer for your DX7 lol. Seriously, buy one! Its a great bit of kit and will save time and aggravation and money in the long run!

look at the specs of the esc.
bec electric current:5.0volts/2a. - this is the power for the reciever/servos (built in bec)

this is another bec i bought (seperate bec)

Ok Let me clarify, The esky ESC I am using on the Belt CP is the original one that came with the heli including the servos. It has a built in Battery elimination Circuit so you dont need two batterys, one for the motor and one for the radio and servos.

I have supplied the DX7 and AR6200 Rx and an HS65 Karbonite servo for the tail and a Logictech 2100T Gyro.

All you need on this heli is the supplied ESC, 4 servos, A Rx and a Gyro. Thats it. So get the DX7 and start flying!!!!

i remember you telling me the other day now but thanks for confirming the thing about the RX battery that was bugging me, i thought the extra weight would kill the flight times

No Problems.

I get about 10 to 13 mins of hovering on an 1800/2200 battery.

sweet thanks. im tempted to get a few packs of carbon blades at that price just to see how it goes.

dashik did say you can just use the DX7 and RX on the belt cp in a thread you just reminded me. i should probably ask him then if he forgot to mention you need the RX battery too, maybe its just for the 600 size heli's.

im finding it impossible to set up this esky HH gyro, tried all the advice but i get a lot of drift so i think i need a digi TX to adjust sub trims.
hi mate (whats your name?)
he replied to the thread i started(esky belt cp).
you dont need a seperate battery for the dx7 rx. it works the same as the esky rx.

as for trimming the headlock gyro - put it in normal mode(not head lock) put the rudder trim in the middle and trim it by moving the tail servo up or down the boom to set the centre. then try the head lock mode. to change gyro modes use thr gyro sw switch on the transmitter. ive not fitted mine yet but done alot of looking into it.

hope this helps - matt
cheers

my names joe and thanks for the info everyone i appreciate it. i'll try what you said now, i think my problem is the tail rotor grips is stopping that little slider from altering the pitch so im getting way more right rudder than left but if i move the grip any more to the edge it will probably fall off.

how on earth did you have the tail blades turning the wrong way?
have you had the tail gear box off it? have you bought and fitted the cnc tail box and grips.

have you seen that other thread - esky honey bee king
