  • Pheonix Sim in 3D

    Hi,

A little while a go I found a directX plug in called IZ3D that turns any game that uses DirectX into steroscopic 3D.

Tried it with the red/blue glasses on Pheonix and its seems to work reasonably well - the model comes out in 3D, but it seems to get a bit confused with the convergence distance required for the back ground.

Has anyone else discovered/played with this and tried it with a better 3D rendering method like shuttered lenses. IZ3D supports a number of methods, but the red/blues glasses is free and the cheapest to try as doesn't need any special hardware, other than the glasses, obviously :-)

The web site is Home | iZ3D

btw...just downloading 4.0j of Phoenix, so when it loads I find out if I'm well behind everyone else and they've put this in as a standard feature.

    Cheers,
    Matthew

use the Nvidia 3D vision drivers instead - they'll work much better (not sure if they still support the red /blue (anaglyph) still though).

There's 3D setting on the NVIDIA control panel, but I couldn't see how that could be arbitrarily turned on for a game.
