Medusa flown, pretty much the same performance as the Align 500L, a little more 'punch' but less 'sustained power'. Datalogger blew up when I plugged it in, don't know why so we'll be trying again tomorrow hopefully with a different logger. Overall I prefer the Align...

Ive been following this thread for some time and quite surprised no one has tried Jason Krause's prefered 5S setup with this model.. The 3300 5S will give runtimes close on 7mins 3D with a similiar weight to 2 x 3S 2200-2500 packs.

I have a few thoughts on this...

My previous experiences with lipo's etc (I admit is limited) but did often find the performance was considerably improved by running a larger pack as it could sustain the required C rating more easily without getting stressed.

Also as the packs are not running flat out voltage dips were avoided/reduced and they gave more cycles before going "OFF"

The other thing is when the new FMA 10S dual output charger becomes available you will be able to charge 2 x 5S packs giving you potentially 14mins flying per hour against 4 mins with the 2 x smaller 3S packs per hour

As I said I'm no leccy expert but looking at Ash's data it looks like the small packs are working extremely hard

barney, i should point out something. i spoke to aurorra today and put an idea to him that he's going to do, they are going to make a harness up to charge 3x 3s packs at once. that combined with the 4s cellpro will allow 4 packs an hour to be charged.
