my x400 atacted me on the weekend hit me on the arm...but i didnt take a picture!

it was 2 shallow cuts, a big BUMP and bruising!

.......it was because i reversed the wrong channel!....dohhhh......embarrasing coz its so stupid....i knew channel 3 was throttle and i reveresed it!....i meant to do the aileron! (channel 1)!

but its rebuilt now and ready for this weekend! TAKE 2 of (controlled!) maidon flight!

      cheers,
      Tom

I didn't hurt myself on this one, but I certainly swore.

I took my Swift back to the pits - throttle cut on as always - but got distracted by someone.

Switched off the Tx. The bloody thing started to thrash around right next to someones car.

Bowlocks, sh*t, Fk....so resisted the temptation to grab hold of it, but switched back on the Tx & it eventually got under control. Damage - usual, blades, shafts, servo, ....

What an 18 carat gold plonker I felt.

So, now it's - land - unplug lipo - switch off Rx - switch off Tx.......before I speak to anyone or do anything else. Lesson learnt
        Happy Landings.

Best thing to do with a Swift...let it thrash itself to death rather than waste effort just shoving it in a bin bag

Did a Swift scare you when you were a baby? I detect a slight hatred there

I see where you're coming from.

When I bought it I had to sort the head, skids & burnt out 3 motors. Century said there were no probs with the motors. In denial.

Now it's sorted I love it. Don't trust Century UK to be honest though.

                Thread hi-jack over!

does anyone know if there is some kind of cut off device i can fit so if the motor finds itself about to chew the main gear if cuts off?

also if i got an alloy main gear that would be a nice upgrade, besides i think id rather have a fked motor than a chewed main gear, all that dismantling is a butt hole at this stage being new to CP heads.

on a serious note it just goes to show just how much damage even the small helis can do imagine if it caught you in the eye.

You need to set a switch for 'Throttle Hold'.

While we're on gory side, how about this one!
(not heli related I'm afraid.... Good old fashion tenon saw did this )

Never mind the fur grows back ! you have to buy new holesaws when you make them blunt....
