Hi All.
Just installing a new DFC head and have a few questions.
I cant get the main gear on with the small spacer on the main shaft at the bottom or top. Its just too tight and cant get the bottom Jesus bolt in. With it out there is a tiny bit of up and down play in the shaft. Is this a problem?
Also when I bolted the blade grips on the feathering shaft the thrust bearings are a little nothcy. I have always had this even on the normal head with new thrust bearings. It is as per the original manual with all the correct spacers and lube. They blade grips move freely just a bit notchy.
Also there is 2 long and 2 short ball links on the swash. The old push rods for the blades went on the short and the wash out arms went on the long. I put the DFC arms on the long ones as it was a straighter run. The short ones have the DFC arms angled a fair way in. Does this sound right?
Any other things I need to change or look at for?
Cheers
