Who makes Gorilla Gear skids?

as above - can anyone please tell me who makes them or distributes them?
I bought one last week because of some people persuading me instead of my dyeing my present landing gear..

Well I maidened my heli tonight with the landing skids - panicked a bit and hit throttle hold from about 6 feet. the heli crashed..
damage are:
tailboom slightly bent
one blade cracked
DFC link snapped (both metal)

and my brand new Gorilla Gear skids has a crack where the screw goes in. What i'm not happy about is it's not even screwed in tight! I deliberately left it not tight because the plastic feels soft and I didn't want to squeeze it.

So I'd like to contact Gorilla Gear and let them know my disappointment. I've had harder landings with my trex 450 pro's standard skids and no cracks!

Maybe they cracked because they were not screwed in tight?

Screw them down tight so that the mounting face pulls up tight against the bottom plate etc and everything will be more rigid and robust. Won't it?

I don't have a problem I'm just amazed that anyone would crash and then complain about a single part that broke, or are you going to complain about the other breakages too?

Maybe a bad batch or just a weakness on the Gorilla skids. Recently fitted a pair and the skid cracked backwards from the rear screw hole. Wasn;t overtightened, just finger tight and cracked before i flew them. No great issue as i CA glued them and been flying them ever since.

I can see Biffas point (even if it was a bit spikey!). You crashed and broke some parts, including your gorilla skids, sh1t happens. But you never know, companies like return business and customer service in small companies tends to be good. So they may send you a new pair as a good will jesture......

What people are forgetting here is that gorilla skids are marketed as 'virtually indestructible'. This says to me that you'd expect them to hold up to the majority of crashes. This ones doesn't seem like a particularly hard crash. So yeah, I see the OPs point.

Yeah, except in a crash that breaks them

Every crash is different and the forces involved will be dispersed in a different way. Usually it's a given with what breaks, I have come in hard from a loop into the dirt and done shafts, boom, blades, main gear, etc and skids left intact, although come in funny on an auto and the skids break. As Jez says, shit happens.

Sounds like possibly a dodgy batch to me; I used them on my 450 pro for a couple of years and never broke them, despite trying pretty hard! In fact, a club mate that bought the pro from me a year ago is still using them now, and hes tried pretty hard to break them too!
