Thanks. I sent them an email and asked how, if possible, to repair it

Would CA glue be ok on this? The material feels more like rubber/plastic than hard plastic!

DANI_R: I should have stuck with the original plan of dyeing my original skids! I've ordered a couple of standard skids instead and I'll be dyeing them instead.

SYNERGY: life's too short but my wallet has a shorter life span unfortunately.

muscleflex if you cant afford a replacement set of skids for a small helicopter then you are in the wrong hobby, it gets a lot more expensive than that!!!

CA glue wont damage it, but I really doubt it would hold if the crack is like my one (so if you have to push the two parts together to close it).

JB weld may work, but as I said I don't see the point as when I got the heli they already had the small crack, and they are still fine about 40 flights later now (including one reasonably hard landing with no damage).

so how do you keep yours attached to the heli if there's a crack? does the crack extend to the hole?

yes it does go to the hole. I just screwed on the washer and screw really tightly.

Just want to say - Raj from Align-trex kindly offered to replace the part if I had not heard from MSH about this not so great gorilla gear skid.

As of today - MSH has not replied to my email yet and I sent them 2 including a link to this thread. Not so good in my book! But a big praise to Raj for the kind offer.
But I don't know if I want to return it to Raj now. Raj has been great with all my orders so far. I'm back to using the standard align skids now anyway.

I sent Raj an email to let him know I had not heard anything back from MSH. Then I asked him if I decided to take him up on his offer, would he claim this back with MSH as I didn't want him absorbing the cost of this.

He just replied saying he will send a replacement today. He didn't even answer my question!
                    What an awesome guy!

Align-trex is my main source definitely! From now on! I won't even look at other shops to get my spares from (unless I'm either really desperate or Raj cannot get it for me)

But I'm still not happy with MSH for not replying to my email! Oh well. Maybe they didn't get the email.

if it is a dodgy batch then it is good to let others know as with the kbdd ones for the mcpx .when they found out they were breaking very easily they changed the plastic they were useing and they are now worth having.I think its worth letting them know.
