  • Gyro pads

I was just wondering if there is a rule of thumb on regular replacement of Gyro pads or do most flyers fit and forget.
    Cheers,

electric hellis will last alot longer than nitro due to the oil/ fuel breaking down the pad. i just check mine every now and then and if i see it starting to split or comming away change it. for the sake of £1ish it's a little price to pay for something that could destroy your heli if your gyro fell off.

It will depend on your gyro and heli combination. If you get any changes on the tail then a change would be a good first step. I think my pads usually last longer than the heli.

For a nitro model it is best to check it every day in a pre-flight check.

For an electric I've never seen one go bad yet, but it should still be checked.

A simple wobble should be enough.

Cheers Guys for your input it is for an electric, and good advice Laurence to include it on the pre flight check.
