What is the best 3D smack Heli? Poll

After what you would consider is the best 700 size for the hardest of hard 3d smack down


Not what you own or what you think is the best cos of spares availability or price etc etc.

So if you were a 3D smack pilot what heli would you have thinking purely that it got to be able to be fully capable of smack down and give your reasons too if you can

I'm just after opinions as this same poll was on another forum and most of the replies were purely what they owned so a waste of time.

But out of the current lineup from the Goblin / TDR / Align 550E and possibly the E720 for me I would go for the E720 just because it bigger I think haven't seen the TDR or Goblin up close but from what I've seen of the E720 its impressive and Bobby is bound to make it smack quite a bit too....

i would say the goblin i have not flown it yet but the videos i have seen its just soo quick ( i arnt just trying to stick up for a heli i am getting just in case ) i really do think they are ballistic on a high end set up. aslo a guy at my field has the 7hv and that seems to be very good aswell :P

I agree with Liam, I think it's probably the goblin for me.

E7 hands down. The main gear itself speaks all about it.
Goblin is unproven, we will see how it goes, but with all these power system people install and closed canopy, there will be temperature problems I think.

BTW: I don't care what people like Tareq fly, if I had my own mechanic and/or parts at very low prices, any heli could withstand endless abuse. Replacing bearings every 20 flights wouldn't be a problem

I have never seen a Gaui X7 or a Whiplash, but at least Gaui looks very promising, based on waht X5 was.

Not that I am ever going to do any smack flying .

I voted for the Velo 90 because they fly well, are light and are cheap to repair. I haven't seen the more expensive models fly & don't doubt that they are amazing heli's but if I'm throwing a heli about that hard then it's always going to be at the back of my mind that if I smack it, its gonna hurt. With the velo the prices are low enough that I wouldn't mind throwing it about. It was a close call though between that and the 700 but the Velo won because IMO it just flys that little bit better

That's a fair comment most of the helis today are capable... Really its down to set up and pilot skill but I do like that goblin!

Thing is with saying the goblin & posting Tareq flying one is like saying a puch maxi for knee down racing & posting a vid of Rossi riding one. Tareq will fly smack with anything you give him & i personaly see nothing special in how it flies compared to him flying the ElyQ.

well from what vids ive seen id have to say the Goblin. But thats with Tareq flying it, would be interested to see what he could do with a logo 6003d though, i reckon that would probably wipe the floor with the goblin in his hands

there are other videos of other people flying and it looks just as good and no i am not on about like bert kammerer i still think it looks just as good any way no point on having a debate about it we all have different opinions
