Rapidgaz - Align receives more s**t as you say, because they release more s**t than any other manufacturer. Yes other manufacturers have problems but not to the extent that align do. Look at the number of releases they have and then the revisions that follow. They make a decent product cheap with little development (this costs money) release it to the public and work on it in the background. It's nice to see they have stepped up this time and made good on a bad design, compared to their usual "it's your fault, you did something to it as ours is fine...! By the way we've just released a b version although it has nothing to do with the problem you are having".

Before you start I am not align bashing, I have bought a lot of their helis (3 450's, 2 600N's, 700N, 2 500's, 550, 600pro efl) and will continue to do so. When you buy one you accept the consequences of having a cheap heli with cheap parts - It's cheaply made. Compare that to a good brand like Synergy, you put it together and you go fly the damn thing without worrying if the tail will stay on, will the blades stay attached to the heli, is my frame going to crack on a hard auto, how can I get this cheesium screw out, what if it's too cold and my 3GX won't work, etc, etc.

    Just my opinion
Hey supakoopa: How many Helis do synergy sell compared to align, they are bound to have more fails, but as mark said most of the new n5's all or most had problem, another guy at our club, also had the main shaft lock into the frame and had to send the whole Heli back.

Agreed once again and not wanting to fuel the fire anymore than needed. But is that the retaing clip that needs to be epoxied on? Was it? Is that running 95mm blades on a tail that was made to run with 92mm max blades as specified by the designing. Just playing devils advocate guys so don't shoot me. Lol.

I think a lot of this hobby is personal experience, if I believed everything I read I don't think I'd dare fly anything. I've had good and bad experiences with every manufacturer, even had a tail explode on a JR Vibe. You live and learn.

Not convinced that the new bolt will fix the problem,

If you have a hard bolt into much softer Ally pitch arm & vibrate it 2000 times per minute, won't it still work itself looose!??
If the hinged arm doesn't fail you might be creating issues with the ball link, the stainless swash ball, etc

Why fit something that you don't know how it will fail, for no benifit? The new lowered head could have been done with swash followers & ball links & would fly just as well.

I am please that some of you are finally questioning what I think is a bad design.

          Tim.

I think the funny thing is if it was a paying beta tester, sorry i mean customer that had a failure, they have only been out a couple of weeks.

I will sleep safe in the knowledge that they have gone back to the drawing board, considered a new design concept, built it,tested it thoroughly and got it to market in that time.

Most of my helis are Align and they are great but you gotta laugh
