Hey everyone i have just boughy the neon blaze v3 and OMG!! I cant for the life of me work out how to setup the tx cuk 2602 i can work out the trims but im fighting with it on every take off! How do u setup these controllers?! I understand the trim but its just baffling the heck outta me.

QUOTE=Rich23;781004]I would suggest taking it back or calling them up and explaining whats going on. They have very good customer service. If the circuit board, on the tail motor, has been damaged in a crash or hard landing it will probably need replacing. I'm waiting to replace mine as the last inverted hover I tried the heli was blown into the kids swing frame and knocked the tail motor off. Even after re-soldering and checking it seems down on power.

You will need to get yourself a pitch gauge and swash levelling tool (£10 approx.). I would strongly recommend changing the servo's to metal geared ones too. The ones in the RTF package are shockingly bad and will break if you move the head with no power.

Let me know how you get on[/QUOTE]

      Hi

      Transmitter settings

These are the standard settings for the CUK-2602. Its not a computer Tx so the adjustments are limited. You need the swash to be spot on level and wide open space as this heli likes to drift a lot on take off. Whats the problem your having?

When the rotar blades are turning they dont seem to be level and i cant get a straight take off i have to keep compensating loads and it ends up not bein able to take off straight i try to trim using digital trims but they seem useless :-(

Not a huge mistake. You will get a natural left drift on take off which you will need to learn to counter act. No matter how much trim you set it won't go away. Also these Helis are unforgiving and can be twitchy. There not a great Heli to learn on as I found out. Do you have a swash levelling tool?

Not a mistake, just underestimated how hard the hobby is. Takes a lot of patience to get anywhere, but when you do it's a great buzz.

                    Hey,

Don't give up to easily just yet. Like biffa said this is a hard hobby. I had the same problems with mine when I was recommend a neon blaze as a good beginner heli. It sounds like you need to do some reading to understand how to set the heli up properly. Once its set up properly it will be a little easier to handle.

This website goes through everything you need to get the heli setup.

These are the tools you will need. As you don't have a computer transmitter the pitch and throttle curves will not apply to your setup but make sure the pitch is at 0 degrees at 50% throttle.

                    Swash tool
You will need this to level your swash plate
Blade Pitch Gauge You will need this to set your pitch.

If your serious about getting in to the hobby a good starting point is a simulator. I use phoenix and so do a lot of people on here. I would recommend a good computer transmitter (Spektrum DX6i) to go with it. This will teach you the basics and save you a fortune on crash costs. Or if the simulator route is not for you try a Blade mCPx with a DX6i or the new 130x again with a DX6i. The mCPx looks like a toy but it is far from it.
