    Did someone call

    Dave,

I too have been going through the same sort of voyage of re descovery, after recently getting my driving license sorted with my new address as I moved earlier this year. The thought occured to me that I've had a bike license for 12 years and haven't really been using it, so maybe I should do something about it 8) I am more of a sports tourer man, so I have been thinking about a kawasaki ZZR600. Having said that I did just get the new Triumph catalogue sent through and the Daytona 600 looks good too :?

Right, back to the matter at hand, an R/C heli.

My view is that it should be a model capable of being controlled in the same way and with all the same controls of a full size, i.e. Cyclics, pitch and yaw, all of which should be controllable by the pilot. There is one key differnece between the models we all know and the full size, that is the greatly extended pitch range of the models. So in that respect they are not just scaled down models of the full size.

    Cheers,

    Pete.

""same controls of a full size, i.e. Cyclics, pitch and yaw,""
I think I take enough gear to the flying field without carting a set of Rudder Pedals along as well!!

        G-Dave.

It was you who asked why people liked Raptors so much, that was the only reason I replied.

If you did'nt want this thread to turn into a Raptor thread, perhaps you should have asked that question by starting another thread.

Mo Said "I have no wish to be offensive, but if they are such a damned good machine, could someone please give me the reasons why, and in what departments,or could it have been that very agressive name that swayed them. "

          Hi TC
Nice try - but not good enough - I think you will find that was Mo!! oops ops:

I think Dave has nailed it. It is the only deffinition that works IMHO. You just have to look at the full size wold to see the veriety of heli's designed for every concievable event from heavy lift to ems and exec 240's to sheep hearding rotorways.
