  • Align!!! You cheap b^%$£@!s!!!!!!!!

How cheap are align!!!!!!!!!! Just got my 550e v2. The horizontal stabiliser fin mount and strut holder is plastic!!!!!! On all my other Aligns its a nice shiny component... but this is cheap and nasty!!!! Also.... bloody plastic servo horns on a heli of this spec??? Really???? Same servos as 600efl pro but they came with the metal ones!!!!! Finally..... the boom supports are very flexi flimsy and cheap. Once again on all my other Aligns these are very sturdy and strong.

Lastly..... Got the FBL model.... but the blades don't say 3g on them?!? They look like the FB model??? Has any one else found this??

      Maybe Align are learning??

Bling heavy metal is not needed to be "quality" or to fly nice.

Horizontal fin does nothing good other than add weight, it doesn't really help orientation at all either. A plastic mount is plenty enough here.

Plastic servo horns are better than metal as shock isn't transferred directly into the servo gears.

You could alway buy a Logo. They cost twice as much, and you get plastic frames. Aligns are a cheap helicopter. But I still think there value for money.

I agree. But the Logo plastic is not normal plastic is it. Its special stuff that i don't really understand much about.... But I'm sure its not the same plastic Align use.

I will buy a Logo next anyway... and a Compass

I prefer metal servo horns also..... plus.... I don't crash!!!!!

If you are suggesting the v2's components are like this to keep weight down then fair enough.... i didn't think about it like that to be fair. Was just comparing it to all my other Aligns

I also agree..... Align are good value.... Maybe i shouldn't be so quick to compare to all there other products.... you have to admit thats an easy thing to do though

What you don't realise is that the plastic on the align helis are not 'normal' plastic.. It is Aligns very own 'special' plastic stuff

Logo plastic frames work like a sort of fuseable joint smashing completely to save many smaller, cheaper, and more easily replaced parts from damage.

Yes, I got a 700 3G kit and the blades just said Align on them, no 3G anywhere on them.

Logo plastic isnt normal plastic is it?

Smack one into the ground then say that, and if you think Align boom supports are flexible you will be in for a dissapointment on a Logo,i have seen firmer spaghetti.

I remember when I didn't crash. Well, after the first few times out with a Blade 400 that is. Now I crash all the time

I wouldn't take his comment too personally, it was quite amusing to read.
