My winter project - Whats yours?

What psu did you get? I need to get something more powerful.

My winter projects are;
Fitting electrics on my Outrage 550.

See about completing what was supposed to be my winter project last year, which
is a 4 stroke nitro Robbe Futura SE (Laser 150 engine).

I went with the 30v 900w psu, ok it's not as cheap as building it yourself with bits of eBay but it's a lovely bit of kit. Solid built, small in comparison,silent, and safe. It's enough for me to charge 4 x 6s batteries at once which is great.

Am thinking of doing a 4 bladed 500 heli with the mini v bar and then maiden it next summer if i can wait lol

This kit is the combo with the Kontronik 80a ESC and the Mini-VBAR.

In the end I decided on a 10s setup with 560 motor. Although I have to say the 12s setup Mattie lodge is running was also very tempting.

Servo wise I've got the new SAVOX Brushless HV servos for the cyclic and tail. The specs on these are REALLY fast - SB2272 are 20kg torque and .065. On paper they are better than the JR8717s...

That is some very nice kit! I hope Santa brings me one!

The spec on the savox servos sounds impressive - if you do a build thread i'll be reading!

My winter project is improving my flying catching up on the wasted time I've had this year already.

The Logo 600 3D is just awesome and I can't recommend them enough.

Lol.. Thats what Ive got for my winter project.. just need the vendors arses to get in gear and theres another property to refurb.. however not as much work as you by the looks of things but im still gutting it!!

Initially I'll be running the Edge 603mm blades that come with the kit. I probably wouldn't go up to 620 as it will load the heli too much I guess.
