My winter project - Whats yours?

For the last few weeks I've been sorting myself out with a new heli a Logo 600 3D. Nitro is in my blood so this is quite a big thing for me as I've not really flown bigger electric before and so I've spent a lot of time researching various peoples setups before deciding which way to go.

This kit is the combo with the Kontronik 80a ESC and the Mini-VBAR.

In the end I decided on a 10s setup with 560 motor. Although I have to say the 12s setup Mattie lodge is running was also very tempting.

Servo wise I've got the new SAVOX Brushless HV servos for the cyclic and tail. The specs on these are REALLY fast - SB2272 are 20kg torque and .065. On paper they are better than the JR8717s...


The Scorpion HKIII-4035-560 motor arrived today. This is the motor that both Rob and Matt at Midland Helis are flying and I flew both of their logos at Charmouth which had tons of power. Robs 10s 5000 setup flying comfortably for 7+ minutes doing 3D

Supplied from Optipower is a Cellpro PL8. I got some HP power supplies from ebay to make a big power supply so I can parallel charge lots of packs simultaneously.

I think it's fair to say I've got a bit of work to do!!!

I've had a scale Russian hind since before last winter to go in a 600 so I might actually start that!

Had all the gear for it as well just never got around to it. It looks bloody massive for a 600 size but I bet it will look awesome when flying as I will now do it FBL as well I think.

Sounds nice Richie, I've a few :

A rev 1 Fusion build, bought second hand & now have all the bits to get built

Will also be taking delivery of a PhoenixTech TT325/360 tomorrow with all the bits to complete so yet another build.

Also have a Trex 450 Pro that I got from Dan (Lynx) so sourcing some missing bits then that's due a build

So plenty to keep me occupied in between flying my trex 500 & Fusion 50 Rev 2

Mine is my 6hv, got my psu through today from rapid. So need to sort out a powerlab 8 and some batteries.

mine is a 1/4 scale vario bell 47g3
servos are futaba bls352
rx is a 14ch futaba fasst
i've got a gy520 or a good old faithful 401 for the gyro
and powered by a zenoha g290

Eh?? Whats that about?? I'm confussed? body poppers (well old skool) wear white gloves, the mid 90's whistle posse, american traffic police & spacemen but scale flyers??. Anyhow my winter project is my Slabby, not heli related i'm afraid. I bet there'll be a few Goblin projects going on during Christmas.

What psu did you get? I need to get something more powerful.

My winter projects are;
Fitting electrics on my Outrage 550.

See about completing what was supposed to be my winter project last year, which
is a 4 stroke nitro Robbe Futura SE (Laser 150 engine).
