For the money its looks like a great radio, its the issues that are stopping me from getting one, the service you get from HH is great too which is a good thing I suppose

yep! if you buy brand new - it should be good! don't listen to those people who say it's still ongoing... they don't know peanuts!

don't think you'll find anyone who bought one this month that's complaining! i love mine anyway! (altho i recently held an Aurora 9 and damn it felt really nice!!!)

I love my DX8 it has some great features but lots of people knock em but I have never had any problems whatsoever. I have noticed a bug in it with the trim graphics not moving on a TX swapped from Mode2 to Mode1 and that doesnt seem to have been addressed yet, beta testing still ??? (Yes I fly helis & Planks Mode 1)

However I have just had to send my DX8 into Horizon this week as it has been recalled due to certain versions of DX8 have issues with old DSM receivers and causes lockout.

On the good side Horizon have a faultless service and the turnaround is supoer fast (unlike Castle Creations )

Love mine too. Unbeatable for the money if you ask me and in fact at any price I can't think of a radio I'd prefer. Has a great feel to it, excellent features, telemetry, backlit screen etc. I personally reckon the problems weren't/aren't as common as you would think from reading this forum which seems particularly anti DX8 -sorry DX8 haters!

Got a Dx8.... did need to go in to be fixed same as a lot of them (odd stick inputs being registered)... but been fine since. Works really well... and lets you use MCPX / parkzone flyers etc - unlike the Futabas.

We have a way arround that.... we can now fly the ultra minitures with a propper tranny....

Gets an olde banger of a dx6i... and a futaba reciver and a simstick 2 (futaba)..... link the futaba to its rx and plug into simstick... take output of simstick and plug into olde banger of dx6i and then make the trainer switch backwards on the dx6i (always on) place olde banager of tx and simstick on floor (make sure it's in range) and go fly the toy helis....
