  • Spin Blade Problem

Got some FBL spinblades (620) on my Trex 600 (beastX)

The heli shakes like crazy with them on - put the NHPs back on and back to normal.

I found that the shake goes away with a high head speed but there must be something wrong. They seem to be in balance - is it possible to get faulty blades ?

Have you adjusted the BeastX's gain?

Different blades affect various aspects of the flybarless configuration.

Try adjusting the gain, and running any optimizers if the BeastX has them for a few flights

There's no software for the BeastX yet (might be soon but that will be for V3) so there are no optimizers - could try turning down the control loop slightly and see how that goes.

Still no software! :S I swear they had planned to release that last year!

Anyhow.. try adjusting the gain and let us know how it goes

I think better blades will cause a need to turn gains down as you would have better mechanical gain so would need less electronics.

It's easy enough to re-check not just paired balance but paired CoG and how they hang...proves or lays that concern to rest. Also check your dampers and thrust bearings..heavier blades may show up a problem there more dramatically..

Check were the weights are on the underside of the blades. If u have 1 in the same spit on both blades then they are faulty

Not that it helps Mark, but RaptorMark (heliharry) also faced lots of issues with these blades at the rcha event. Whatever he tried, he just couldn't get the set to track... And that caused him some serios vibes on the

That would indicate worn dampers - perhaps the cause of his boomstrikes??

I cannot say for certain Mark because I think faulty dampeners were ruled out as the cause of the repeated bladestrikes - something to do with head speeds, I reckon it was concluded.
