  • how to test servos and receiver ?

Following the fire on my 550e at the RCHA flyin at the weekend it is all now stripped down, cleaned and ready for repair.
Luckily not too many parts to replace.
The ESC has been returned for a warranty replacement.

    Question....
how do I test the receiver and servos without having an esc to power it?
I really want to check these before it gets refitted.

Do you have a spare ESC and a lipo mate? Just plug the lot into the rx... Bind it and see what happens.

Do it one by one so you get a better idea of each step mate

What rx is it ?, some spectrum rx run hv and some supprising ones too, i never thought the AR7000 would be HV compatible but it is so just connect up a 2S lipo pack to test everything. Check first though . . . . . . . . .

cheers Lee. I think I should get a servo tester just to make sure that they all ok, also sounds a good way of setting up the ccpm.

looks like you can make the servos go back to a neutral position, so this would be equal to mid stick zero degrees pitch. this would make the link length settings for the head easier to do rather than having to make sure the tx is at mid stick.
