Anyone else noticed what appears to be a recent change?

'Many thanks for your order, your goods have been picked and will be dispatched today. / tomorrow'

Ignoring the odd punctuation of the obviously hasty change, has anyone noticed any difference in the usual same day despatch of goods ordered early in the day?

I did notice last week when I ordered some parts. I always order early morning and I always use to get them the following day. But last week they came the day after that I was not expecting that. Still a great service, parts sent to your door within 2 days. You cant complain. :-)

It could be anything from being a man down (Holiday or Off Sick) or to a large amount of orders, as with anything the nice weather we are having at the moment mean more people out flying and no doubt crashing so this means more spares orders!! Also with their opening offer at the weekend for discounts i would say a lot of people have taken advantage of it and ordered like they have never ordered before!!

Still a great service no matter how you look at it!! Keep it going Fast-Lads!

I should think that with moving to new premises, the good weather and there special offers, may be the reason for a slight delay in getting orders out on time, but even so still very fast service.

you'll be hard to beat there over all service.....

being an impatient individual as i am, if the order > £100 i always pony up the £7 for next day delivery.

For some reason, i'm always crashing on Wednesdays and always want things up and running for the weekend.

I ordered about 23:30 Sunday, UPS delivered it about 15:30 today. All worked well.

Of the last 3 orders (over the past ~month), FL side has been spot on for next day; UPS have messed up the first 2 deliveries (to a Central London business address), but were fine on the 3rd.

Possibly, FL might look at whether certain next day deliveries are guaranteed next day, or probably next day. Sometimes I'd pay extra for the former; other times I'd be happy with the latter.

That's kind of where I was heading with this query.

If people are still seeing stuff going out same day then it really isn't much more than a CYA for the odd slip, if it is more of a general problem keeping up then I'd probably take the time to phone if I needed something next day to make sure it was going to happen.

No point paying for next day if it isn't going to ship same day.

I would always hope that those opting for next day, took priority as you are paying a premium. I'd be miffed if it didn't turn up the next day.

But who knows

as an aside, i must be getting better as i have only spent £684.56 with FL on spares this year

If I pay for next day delivery and order during normal business hours I expect it next business day, no excuses and will ask for a postage refund if they cannot meet my expectations. Never had any real issues with FL other than the higher than some postage charges but you makes your choice eh.
