My response? "I sincerely hope so otherwise there's absolutely no point in you being behind the counter, Carol."

What's with all this Americanised, unnecessary chatty bollocks? I'd have been quite happy with the following:

"Wadja want?"
"Bread"
"'ere."
"Ta!"

I'm not sure you are overly qualified to start psychoanalysing me given you do not know me, what I do or how my mind works- let's just stick to opinion about the original question rather than amateur psychobabble and insults.

Some good replies and thanks- my main issue is I have a choice of where I shop, I have my preferences and would like a little more enthusiasm when I am offering to spend up to £1800 in one hit at one of my preferred suppliers!! As I said in the original post, the discount is not the issue as I appreciate margins are slim- anything is welcome and I will always ask- my main issue is enthusiasm. I dislike American style customer service- I prefer plain old British enthusiasm and helpfulness.

I have the same experience. In Germany there are some shops, not a lot are very good. The shop owners are from the type "I'm a model pilot and not a business man".
And they behave in this manner. Often it's not fun to try to buy something. Nevertheless I found my way. There is a producer for excellent helis. He is selling his helis and spares only via internet. It's worth to have a look. I have one of every size and I'm really convinced and happy with my decision.
And my Voodoo 600 is the best.
