I am debating which heli to add to my fleet and called a shop yesterday to basically ask if I could give them a lot of money and could they do a package price for me. I was after the heli kit as well as everything to get it off the ground, all the high end electronics and servos to make a pretty blinged heli.
I was offered 5% discount which is OK but not great on the amount I was looking to spend, but it was the general lack of enthusiasm for a potentially big sale that left me wanting to buy elsewhere.
I want to be reeled in and helped, told what a great choice I am making and generally enjoy the purchase of a new heli-I want them to want my money. It's a big purchase and does not happen very often.
As a result of this I have been having a rethink and still cannot decide between...
Blinged N5C ( a bit exotic and not cheap)
Trex 600E FBL ( good value and will fly well)
Fusion 50( not totally convinced after the build on my Velo90)
Trex 550 FBL ( best value of the lot and probably still great fun)
I like the research and the decision making- I need some enthusiasm when I call up to make the order. The last helis I have bought have been from AlignTrexUK who gave great service on my 700, then Skyline for my Velo90 who again gave great service. Perhaps there is a difference between who I buy helis from and who I buy parts from as the type of service I want is different.
Just a little whine- sorry

). When you look at a product you look for the cheapest, which is no doubt already below RRP, meaning their margin is already down. As has been said, anything you can get i's better than nothing
