  • Dont send blades by royal fail £11 charge :(

Well I've just been stung by Royal mail for £11 because my blades were to long to go next day delivery. The only option so called with a signature was £11 ffs I only charged £30 for them & may as well have just burnt them than send them, talk about ****ed off

Good old RM my wife and personal post person! has had many an heated discussion with our miserable post office, thing is there vans must be very small not to get 700 blades in? unless it contravenes health and safety for the posty to carry a 700mm long package!!!!!! i do sympathize

It was the wife who posted the item & I did ask for a signature.
Stupidly all I had to protect them was a torsion 700mm box
I now know to not bother with the post office, problem is kells not exactly an imediate service
& I do like to keep my buyers happy by sending stuff next day recorded, it keeps em happy.

There is a way round this Martin...use a tube. not many people realise you can pay a small additionial fee and insure a std parcel also..trouble is there to many silly little pr1ck$ at the head of RM trying to be smart coming out with dumb ass ideas trying to make it look like we need a complicated modern system. Whatever happened to 1st/2nd + recorded/Special and packets!

                    Maximum size for packets
The maximum dimensions for rectangular items are 610mm x 460mm x 460mm. Items over these dimensions should be sent using our Standard Parcels service.
The Maximum length for rolled or cylindrical items is 900mm, and the length plus twice the item diameter must be no more than 1040mm

You can use Special Delivery™ Next Day to send items weighing up to 10kg.

The maximum dimensions of a rectangular item are 610mm x 460mm x 460mm, and the maximum length of a rolled item is 900mm.

If you’re sending rolled items please also note that the length plus twice the diameter of your item must not exceed 1040mm.

I've used Kell quite a few times and he's always done the business for me Just because he's got a thing against DX8's wont stop me using him again either

As someone said if you get him early enough in the morning he can arrange collection same day

I have to say though that Royal Mail Special Delivery is very good as well Each service serves its purpose.

its true that royal mail and my services are diffrent and royal mail has the advantage that you can just pop in a post office
i certainly wont hold a gun to anybodys head and say use me but unlike royal mail i will go the extra mile to help you guys

I can vouch for this also, sending me through a delivery note by email, at gone midnight, just so my parcel can get delivered on time, cheers kel,

Thats fair enough Kell but I get this question all the time,
"You are sending it recorded arent you"
I had this from a buyer & well known forum user just tonight, how do I answer that question?

Not recorded, but it is trackable with Kels delivery service, recorded isn't really any good anyway, as you can only track it when the item has been signed for at the other end, there is no tracking of the parcel whilst in maze of the system
