Fbl 450

Traitor.

I've just bought (possibly) the last two Outrage G5 kits in shops the world - one FB, one FBL. 3 of my 4 FB G5s now have AR6210s, so I can go DSMX. I have a horde of G5 kits, spare heads, spare tails, etc & I've been seeking out packs. I don't want to be grounded because Outrage can't manage (be bothered ?) to supply me parts and kits.

If loyalty is a 2-way street, it's not me that's doing the betraying here...

6S because my G5s are 6S, and I take two helis to the field; so I can potentially take 1 set of packs for a G5 and another 450. (Or my plan for modular generic packs...) 6S doesn't imply mental - just good performance with low currents.

A flybarless TT360 might be interesting. ie supplied with an FBL head, get to pick my own ESC, FBL controller, etc. 350mm blades, 6S, 2450 RPM & a 1700Kv motor would match the G5 set-up. 3S 2600mAh would be compatible.

I'll have to look at the manual...

It could be that I've panicked and bought them all...

Outrage have always been a bit patchy. From what's on Helifreak, it sounds like they're focusing on the Fusions & Velocities, with the 550 & G5 taking a back seat. Apparently they've never been such big sellers.

Outrage/Prestige/Helidirect have said they'll continue to supply parts & CF kits and that more are coming - however, they've not shown up at HD & FL so far.

Well, I just had a quick look around and The Flight Box, which is where I'm pretty sure I got the boom, belt and stuff last year, kinda looks like maybe they're on the way out because a bunch of (in fact most) items on the website now say 'catalogue suspended'. Maybe it's just website maintenance or something who knows.

I'd guess that says more about the state of FlightBoxRC than it does about the state of G5 availability.

Helidirect is probably a better barometer, as (AIUI), along with Prestige RC it's owned by the same people as Outrage. Prestige RC -- Wholesale Distribution of Best R/C Helicopters is interesting.

450 Pro with Align 3G head and Vbar is pretty hard to beat. BeastX worked ok but had some issues with the V1. Might be much better now.

Hi mate, yeah stock Align 3G head and cheap blades from HK. Flew well, this was last Oct running stock gear bar the vbar and fbl head.
