Also depends on what your after.. something to built and fly/forget, cheap to own/repair.. something more special? Not being Biased but a Velocity 90 if its a Nitro but you cant go wrong with a T700

have been looking at the velocitys as the spares do not look herendously expensive, would be goood if the spares were cheaper

The spares are one of the cheapest along with Aligns but better in quality! I'll see if I can find that comparison thread from before

If you wanting spares to be cheaper.. then your ruling out most off the heli's and leaving with the T700 and Velo 90 as your best choices (even though a Velo90 kit costs the same as a T700 combo kit).. not sure on ElyQ as never liked the look of them.

EDIT: - Here you go.. its ultra cheap to repair! http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/outrag...omparison.html

have you got a 50? I only ask because you say you prefer cheaper spares

Avant and Srimok spares are not over priced, you are simply getting what you pay for.

I really like the look of the Velo 90.

On a 90 you wont get cheap spares no matter which way you go.

Always consider that no matter what 90 you go for, they will all drink fuel at an alarming rate, and when you crash, you will always do a set of blades which will be the same cost no matter what machine! Crashing a 90 will never, ever be cheap!

i would say your best bet for a first 90 is a trex 700, well known and parts are easy to come by

It's not just the price either. Spares are not that easy to come by at any price, for the Srimok at least, so you end up not really flying it properly because of fear of crashing.

Depending on my bonus in 2 weeks, I might get a Velocity 90 because it seems to have a foot in both of the camps you mentioned (cheap and available spares and a bit special). I am not sure how much progress I will make with the Srimok.
