I've just bought a Turnigy Accucel 8150 from Hobby King as I'm getting a little bored of charging my 6S 5000mAh packs on my 2 x Imax B6 chargers. It's an 8S 150W charger, so I whould be cutting my charge times down by two thirds in theory.

Was only £38 delivered (ok, it's taking it's time to arrive) and whilst waiting on delivery, I've stripped out an old desktop power supply which does 160 watts. This is merrily supplying 12V at 11amps to my two chargers now, so was worth doing. Took all of ten minutes to convert. Got my eye on a 500W server PSU on an old server that's due to be scrapped next week. And it's got two of the buggers in it mwahahaha....

Given I've sacked nitro for this year I am looking into a big angry charger, with an eye on the Voltz or Hyperion jobbies. Meanwhile I just got a couple of HP server PSUs off fleabay for £19 each, capable of about 58amp at 24v (2 x 12v in series) . I should be able to weld my next heli together, if nothing else.

I'm not keen on fast charging above 1C although i have accidently charged my 2s Nanotech's at 4C without issues (they're rated for 5C max) I may have a crack at parallel charging though
Yes the big sigpic is coming back

Parallel is how I do my 12s packs on the Hyperion it's fine as long as the batts are the same type and have been discharged the same theres no probs ;0)
