Just been back to the Post Office, this time they did call the Police who escorted me off the premises. In all fairness they (the police) were fairly sympathetic, (at no point did they use a Tazer on me) but they refused to let me back in even when I realized that I'd left my receipt on the counter, instead one of them went and retrieved it for me! If I go back in there they'll issue me with a restraining order apparently.

Of all the havoc I caused in pubs and clubs around West London as a youth I never actually got banned from any of them, here I stand a 46 year old man with a lifetime ban from the Slough Rd - Iver Branch of the Post Office!!!

i cant believe you even thought that, let alone said it. i'm home, waiting, expecting it soon. i hadn't even cosidered it might also be damaged. now the waite is even more agonising!

If its damaged I'd be very surprised, it took me hours to pack it, everything's bubble wrapped and there's half a sofa round the bubble wrap!
It could only be damaged if they've set fire to it. Mind you knowing parcelforce nothing would surprise me any more!

Although it says "this way up" on the box lay it down flat to unpack it.

Sadly Dogbiscuit's not answering his phone so I can only conclude that the parcel arrived safely but the delivery van backed over him!

with both my legs and arms in plaster, i cant even open the box...ran out to meet the delivery van and he went straight over me...

well, a bit of work to catch up on, so i am only now opening the box and taking a look. all here safe and well. what a relief. thanks parcel farce, and a genuine thanks to guy

Parcelforce take two

Seeing that I'm a generous man, I've decided to give parcelforce another chance. They are shipping the trex500 I sold to EtheAv8r

Similar to Guy, I've used parcelforce48, it was handed over to the lady behind the counter today at 15:17 in Hamondsworth, destined for London EC4.

Let’s see how long it takes them to deliver my parcel!

At last I have recieved a reply from Parcel Force regarding my claims for compensation.

As expected is is a template apology letter (I'll spare you the boring bits) offering me a 25% refund and a cheque for £3.34.

So Here's my reply...

Dear Amanda

Thank you very much for your swift response to my letter dated 9th Feb. Just 5 weeks turnaround? I can only assume that bearing in mind the diabolical service Parcelforce provide you must be inundated with complaints and requests for compensation and I am impressed that you could reach a settlemet so quickly.

I understand that your department must be extremely busy but unforunatly in your haste you have made an error on the payment amount as it reads £3.34, I presume you meant £334.00.
I regret to say that this amount is still be £561.00 short of the £895.31 that I am claiming and am uncertain how you would like to proceed. I have opted to return the cheque rather than deposit it and wait for a second one for the balance as it would cost me £4.00 in fuel to drive to my bank and that would just add more money to my claim.

As I stated in my first letter I will have to charge £15.00 for any further correspondence so the new amount is now £910.35.
