+1 although i have had 2 crashes in a month, i've had 6 months using the heli 5-6times a week and no issues or crashes.

I've had 4 crashes in 2 years with my 500, the first 3 were £60 to £80 using budget main blades but the last one would have been £180 using nice blades and the torque tube conversion which I wanted to do anyway. So for that one I ended up buying a used airframe already with the TT for £150 and ended up with a bunch of spares from the non damaged stuff on my original airframe.

I have seen a 50 size go in from a about 5ft when in a hover and almost write the heli off, then not soon after a 700 slam into the deck from inverted... which i hasten to add made those present wince and even the mention of "ill go find a carrier bag" was made... Damage (exluding blades) about £40

Take from that what you like... but putting a price no a heli crash is near on impossible.. The only thing which remains a constant variable is the cost of the replacement parts!

i love the way you caringly lay out the parts of the deceased for the foto shoot. lol such devotion. its as if the parts will just seamlessly merge together if you look long enough.

as far as my crashes go x5 biggish crashes on blade400 roughly $20-50 but only cos i use align 325 cf.

i crashed my 600 once on a right turn doing a wide circuit. lost orientation cos heli was to far away for my comfort zone. i was lucky...the ground was v.wet and muddy and it went in skids down.(dont ask me how) i only did the main blades and canopy. very lucky 80 squids. (still lovin that foto ahhhh)
                CRASH!! BANG!! WALLET!!

                      Hi

Learn where your throttle hold is and use it, once you can build up the reaction of hitting hold as soon as you know when your going to crash which is actually normally a long enough time before actual impact to kill a lot of the head speed, this takes away a lot of the energy and should half the crash damage.

                      Cheers

                      Bob

even with the slightest thing now, i hit hold, even when it isnt majorly bad, it just makes it a bit safer, throttle hold has helped me not crash

I think someone very experienced said it depended on how good you were. The better you are the more the crash costs. You can also get parts from Hobbycity or GiantCod which you can't for Blade400.
