600n governor sensor fitting instructions needed

Just in case this same post/request gets lost in the other thread, I though it best (and most useful) to have it in it's own thread.

Can someone who knows please advise on how best to fit a governor sensor to the 600n?

I'm sure there will be many people who will appreciate this info.

Pics would be a great help too

I use an ATG and put the main part of the sensor on the out side with the actual sensor bit poking underneath, I filed the frame a little to raise it up a bit as my fan had warped a bit - just put a tiny bit of exopy just to make it a bit sticky and then used a cable tie to secure.

It also seems a good idea to drill out the hole a bit to get the magnet flush to stop rubbing and the magnet coming out.

I could probably do a similar thing with the TJ Pro sensor as that also requires bending round the end of a mount, whereas I don't believe the Revlock does

Firstly the GV1 sensor fits right in, with no modification to the frames or fan, just remember that a GV1 sensor comes apart pretty quickly, therefore put a small piece of shrink wrap over the plastic housing. The sensor does seem to sit fairly high above the fan, even when adjusted right down, but I'm still managing to get a 97% reading.

Secondly, fit the sensor before you put the two halves of the frame together. . . . . . . much, much easier

It's also much easier to fit the servo's before joining the frames as well, otherwise those little plastic retaining "nuts" will drive you nuts . I resorted to cyno'ing a couple of them in, because my fat fingers just would not get out of the way

There are some pics on the other Tread, but basically you need to install the sensor before the servos and main shaft. I made a stand off out of carbon which I glued onto the frame and then I glued the senor onto the carbon standoff and put a cable tie around the senor and standoff via the frame.

The magnet is were the real problem is, I took RSPBLAKES advice and drilled a hole completely through the fan onto a fin so the fin stops the magnet falling all the way through, that way I could glue the top and bottom of the magnet. The pictures can be found on my T6N thread.
