Ade's been Knighted again

I think Ade should be given the benefit of the doubt and remember when he was asked how good it was virtually as soon as he had got it built ? The answer was that he would prefer to give it a good work out before commiting himself one way or the other, how many other pilots would have simply said it was the dogs danglies ?

I believe his intentions are for the right reasons but I'm only going on what I have read on here over the last couple of years having never actually met him. It seems there's a bit of the old british 'build em up then knock em down' mentality going around and I would think he isn't arrogant enough not to blame himself if he was at fault and not the heli.

You wont get a answer to that, most will make there own mind up,

it would not be the way knowing Ade telling tails.

Its not his way, you should know him as well.

If he is happy, with what he flies then it will show.

Mistakes happen, its you thats reading into model faults was the reason.

Ade - good to have you back on the team again! As far as im concerned that was just a temporary blip in your judgement
As far as Knights v Raptors are concerned im with Ade and really do believe any one who can do more than just hover will see the difference between a knight sport and a raptor, not to mention the knight 3D!!! I used to be a sceadu man and ive flow raptors aswell and can honestly say they just dont compare with the knights, not even close.
Definately agree with the point about weak hirobo frames. They dont just show up in crashes either. You can feel the effect of the frames flexing in flight when you push a sceadu, not to mention the stock head.

The thing that makes me really uncomfortable with the knight is the way people seem have a need to slate other products to promote it.

I have never even flown a Raptor but all this rubbishing of Raptors and Sceadues on this forum just doesn't transfer to the flying fields for me.

I have seen enough airbourne Raptors and happy Raptor owners of all skill levels at the flying fields to know that i would be very happy to own one too, i own a Sceadu, which i am also very happy with.

When i hear the Knight crew putting down the Raptor and Sceadu it does make me think they must be desperate to promote or have an ulterior motive because in my limited experience both Raptors and Sceadues are excellent helis, it just makes me wonder if everything else they are saying is a load of old tosh too.

I have no experience at all with the knight or any other compass model, the thing that puts me off owning one myself is the amount of treacle that gets poured all over them on this forum, you can make something so sweet that it makes you sick..

prob is even when others agree outside the team, its still taken like that!

You fly a sceadu, so frames don't break, the washout not got loads of play after a few flights, the phasing on the radius don't move if you aren't careful.

Think if you read it again it was just pointing out why he flies the knight, why he likes.

I also own a Sceadu, which i am also happy with, but its got quick UK this and that on it, the sport I have is nearly standard its got a metal A frame just to see if it fitted, This is not needed, but why remove once fitted.

Can I remember the last time i flew the scubie \no is the word because I have not grounded the sport yet, can i remember why I don't then yes!

I saw a blatant pilot error crash last Saturday of tail straight into the ground and most other fliers who were watching said the same once Ade had left the field,he blamed the 600N and on Sunday they were saying he did exactly the same error with the 3d???

back to the old ways i see.

as for the rest of you thanks for your support. I went to the 600 because it showed promise for both now and future. a lot of my gripes with the 600 electric had been fixed. However i just couldnt get it to fly the way my knight flies. Those that were there on sat and sunday will have noticed a change in my flying, back to the old ways.

Unfortunately Big Brother is rubbish, so we are all finding somebody elses life to pick into.

This thread is exactly the reason why many of the knowledgeable people in our hobby end up not posting anymore, it becomes more hassle than it is worth.

It is a pretty simple story, blown out of all proportion.

Ade flew Knights, then Align and back to Knights. I don't get what all the excitment is all about.
