just wanted to know what store people like shopping at and y.
For me its fastlads and the reason is beacuse u get a very good service and there prices are great and when something is wrong with ur order or item they sort it out with no questions asked

which store depends on what I'm after.
Fastlad range and convenient paypal checkout but blades and lipos and canopies mostly from hobbyking for trexes.
I also use midland a fair bit and often do a bit of price sniffing between those and heliguy and a few other UK stores.
For my gassers it's Ron Lund at heliproz (US)..excellent email service.

..but then it's a bit like an alcoholic spreading their addiction between several off licences...

The service is top notch and they always beat everyone else's prices and when spending a small fortune on the addiction er hobby we love, every little helps as the saying goes.

I also get the feeling I'm valued where as when ever I have rung FL they could not care less if I shop with them or not. (Might just have got them on off days??) Well thats the impression I get so I only ever shop online for the few bits I get with them now.

Not really used any other UK shop. Ready Heli and Heli Direct prob see more of my business and Ready Heli's service is also fantastic too, they use an online ticket system so communication is very frequent if any issues arise. I borught some bits during their black friday sale and some bits had sold out and within hours all the comms had been done and all was sorted, great guys their too.

You just need to know hwo to use them - expect deliveries to take 2 - 3 weeks to arrive or buy for spares stock

Maby great prices but shite customer service! Pop-ups on their website claiming:

Worried about warranty!?
Other stores will force you to ship your faulty item back to China, but not us!
We guarantee all products to be free of defects at the time of sale and have warranty centers in Europe

Then when you need to use the warranty service, they say you have to ship back to China at your own expense. When you query the above statement, all they say is 'sorry for any inconvenience'!!

As far as I am concerned, Fast Lads any day for online service (which is the topic of this thread), and Midlands Helicopters for old fashoned "go to store" shopping!

Thats the thing, when I buy from HK I accept that is "sold as seen" so to speak as you got no warranty.

Great service, Great staff, always make you a cuppa when you go to the shop, Hint Hint!! Always have good stocks of seemingly everything, keen prices, but for me the main thing is the Live stock system, Best thing ever !!!!

I've lost count of the times i've ordered elsewhere only to be notified after a few days that they were in fact out of stock although they've already taken payment.

I've used them all at one time or another, but sadly once you get bad service at somewhere it takes an awful lot to tempt you back to them.

Use Hobby King for batteries as nobody anywhere can compete with them on batteries, DE Warehouse is the best as the price you're quoted is the price you pay due to no Import duty and you usually get your order within a few days

Because if your careful, read the reviews, select wisely and combine your orders you'll get your items at a fraction of the cost purchased in the UK. Yes you have to wait a few more days for them to arrive and you can still checkout with paypal.

If i need something from the UK or urgent then its Midland - Fast-lads.

being a newbie (well been into heli's for about 4 months) i have only used hobbyking for batterys .... but found there service really slow waited over 4 weeks for batterys to arrive and by the time i paid Import duty and delivery, could have got them from uk saler for about same price but a lot faster delivery (did not relise about using DE Warehouse to save import tax nor did i relise about adding extra stuff to bring up to max weight on postage) still i know now and will most likely use them again now armed with how to shop with them
