That is an easy one for me. Fast-Lads.
Over the years I always pretty much supported the shop that was nearest to me!
Bought my first heli from Midland Helicopters when I lived in Loughborough in 1999. I still remember the day. I walked in the shop, the old one that was in the front of there home. The usual newbie questions and Dick said 'Do you want to see one fly?' 'Yeah sure' and we proceeded to the back of the property were Dick fire-up his 'Mosssie Basic' and flew, I was hooked! So a far few ££ shorter I left with my first heli 'Mossie Basic' and boy was it basic.
Shortly after I moved to Gloucester, so Martin Briggs was now my Local and was for 5 years. Some people liked him, some didn't, but personally I got on well with him and it was during this period that I was spending the most £££ on the Hobby. Martin, got me my first sponsorship deal with 'Robbe UK'.
From there I had deals with various places that all gave me great service and support, 'Dave Wilshere @ Motors and Rotors', 'Bob Johnstone @ Skyline Models', 'Roger Hamilton @ Climb-Out'.
After my 3D Masters days were over I did less flying and decided to fly more for fun. With that I started buying my own models again from Fast-Lads. I also started using Midland Helicopters again as I now live in Derby, and Matt and Trevor are great guys and there new shop is well setup and offers a good service too.
Back to Fast Lads, I started using them because I knew Chris and Jamie long before they started there business and classed them as friends first, shop owners second. But like everyone, top notch website and the service was great so I shopped with them mostly. If it ain't broke don't fix it sort of thing!
A few years on I am now a Fast Lad Rep, and proud to be associated with one of Europes (if not the Worlds) Best helicopter shops.
That said, I think here in the UK we have lots of great heli dedicated shops that have a wealth of experience and knowledge in this hobby. And for me that is why I will always buy from the UK (except for the odd cheap Lipo from HK ;-D). As if all these shops close, where will be go when we want to 'get out the house' but can't go flying cus its raining!
So Fast Lads exclusively now.
But have had good service from the following over the years:
Matt and Trevor @ Midland Helicopters
Bob @ Skyline Models
Martin @ Martin Briggs Models
Andy @ Real Raptors (such a loss to the heli-community)
Dave and Dave @ Revolution Models
Dave @ Motors N Rotors
Cheers
Paul
