$34.00 about £22.00, I figure there's a reason why its £250 cheaper than the real thang! Its probably crap!

Easy, Buy the real thing and dont be a skin flint If it ain't in a Trex 500 box, then it simply isn't a trex 500.
              As Alexsandra would say "SIMPLES"

                Right here we go,,,
                I had a Trex 500 using a 6s x 13t pin which worked out alot of bucks
                Yes it flew very well and could out fly my lowley skills;
I put it in an Airwolf and that flew very well until the Align Esc cought fire
Completely burnt out the main gears, three servos and most of the cyclick ball links, anyway ended up getting a HK 500 complete with servos and esc
                for around £130.
Had about 25/30 flights with it up to now and apart from a few issuse with the tail linkage I'm very happy with it and would not buy another Trex500.
If your not going to fly full, hard, 3D then I cannot see the point in forking out for the Trex and you get metal main shaft bearing mounts with the HK
its an upgrade for the rex,

Right my two pence worth , i also have a Hk500 running 6s and i love the hell out of it although as i said the fixing hardware is a bit poo , It has a full cnc head and tail out the box CF is a little on the thin side but as everything is interchangable then it's not a problem to swap out .

I think your better of buying a second hand "Align" Trex, than a new clone,
That's if it's down to cost

Personally I would buy a HK500 (the CMT or whatever the latest version is). You'll need to spend about another £20 quid on align parts to replace the "definetely fail" parts (see loads of threads).

I would then see your first crash as "a cheapie" and just replace parts with Align as you need to. If you never crash then hey the clone worked fine for you the whole time.

From what I've read - the EXI / flasher / Tarot / HK are made from the same moulds by a company called Syma or something (theres stuff about who actually builts it in China in another forum...). I would buy HK as 1) cheapest and 2) they shift the highest volume, so I would trust them to out more pressure on their suppliers to sort out issues, and also have fresher stock.

                      Trex 500 (DS520s all around, fl760)
                      Trex 450 (hs65mgs, ds420 tail, gy401)
                      Trex 250 (stock)
