Looking for a bit of help here. Yesterday I finally cracked and surcomed to owning a iMac

Apart from looking, feeling and being just bloody awesome my obvious problem is what route do I go down to run Pheonix on it.

At the moment I'm migrating my old PC to the Mac using VMware Fusion which is a free download trail for 60 days. This I reckon is going to take about 4 days at the speed its going!!!!

I've just been in the apple shop and they said possibly Parallels is better or run boot camp.

Just wondered what you guys are running with your macs to get the best graphic results??

Help would really be appreciated follow Mac'er's

      Had a Mac
Very pretty but underpowered for the money.
Couldn't get the freeware I wanted or had to pay for it.
Ended up running bootcamp most of the time.

In the end couldn't understand why anyone would 'need' a mac?

BTW I'm back to PC with Windows7 and no probs.
And for the money of laptop with a big screen (24" imac) I have a half decent gaming PC dual SLI etc.

Back on topic - I ran pheonix perfectly well on an older white 24" imac using bootcamp.
      Still needed WINDOWS though!!

Bootcamp all the way, with a 1/5th partition - stick Windows 7 Ultimate on it and it will kick the arse off avery PC in the vicinity.

As a newbie, you're still a bit pre-conceived about Pea Seas, but give it a couple of weeks and the light will start to grow brighter - follow the light, it leads to a marvellous place.

After 6 months, you'll be booting into Windoze only once in every 100 starts, trust me.

A: One. He puts the bulb in and lets the world revolve around him.

Q: How many Microsoft vice presidents does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Eight. One to work the bulb and seven to make sure that Microsoft gets $2 for every light bulb ever changed anywhere in the world.

Q: How many Microsoft engineers does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. Bill Gates will just redefine Darknessā„¢ as the new industry standard.

I use Bootcamp for Phoenix and Rfactor using xp, been using Mac since the SE30, few years ago now. Macs are good for me as I'm a Graphic Designer and the industry of print, Photography and Printing is mainly base on using macs.

I've got no allegiance to Pc or Mac just give me what I need to do the job really!

Now this doesn't apply to GT5 as you need a PS3... That's another story!

Btw if you are a racing fan try Rfactor awesome mod racing game, lets hope we are not all blinkered here and Macs and Pc can live together to give us what we need.

Still think PC's are a pain in the arse to use!!

                      Blimey,

I leave you guys alone for a couple of hours last night and you start a punch up

Thanks for all your suggestions, I think the outcome here is I will run bootcamp. This I see is the only way to get a good result. The time for migration last night with VMware was 141 hours so I gave up on that. I know with parallels you can get a high speed lead so that could be a option.

I've had various PMs from guys on here very kindly helping me out. Really appreciate this

Thanks again and will keep you updated on my progress

PS: Troublemaker 'Clarkie' you need a Mac
                      Cheers Matt

I run it within VMWare fusion and it works just fine. Settings are maxed.
