I think the 'shit happens' covers most crashes. It's a hobby afterall but it can be the financial implications that cause distress. Nothing quite like losing a loved one but I was a victim of financial..........crisis due to my obsession with heli's. Each crash saw me have to repair as I just couldn't 'not' repair it.

£14k later, I'm still broke but lesson learnt. Now I just have a 450! Lol.

Ha Ha - You know in those few seconds when it went loopy all I could think of was my 700 ending up buried in some multi million pound communications dish and me trying to figure out how to get it down without being seen

When I planted my 600LE I had such a good day that I didn't really care - I knew I had been pushing the envelope and eventually dumb-thumbed it into the ground.

But, sometimes a sympathetic thread is also what you need - Share the pain a bit help keep perspective.

Next day you cheer up and you can either order lots of new bits online, then its a kid at christmas waiting for the postie to arrive, or you can go to your local model emporium and tell them of your spectacular crash and they've at least got to pretend to be interested because you're about to spend 200 quid :-)

there are crashes everyday, however people learn from them, just don't make it too costly

He wasn't wholly impressed when I expressed my approval (genuine, actually...) that he'd switched to a real man's heli (450) from the 700.

Something about me looking like a psycho with the G5s in cases, but he'd have to mince around carrying the 450 from the car park. I was a little confused, but he was very convincing mincing...
