I originally started with planks over 30 years ago, but life family and the usual got in the way and it just fizzled out.
A couple of years ago I had my first encounter with helis by way of the little mCX coaxial when I saw one being demonstrated in my local model shop. I was blown away by just how controllable it was and the way it just hung in the air. I just had to have one.
It was quickly followed by another so we could have dog fights with them. Subsequently purchased a Ripmax minicopter, a CX2, a Walkera HM4G1 (Which was a heap of crap) Then got Phoenix and an mSR. Finally got my first 450 size cp heli in the way of a Innovator MD530 closely followed by a T Rex 450 also ended up getting back into planks a little bit. and bought a Trojan T 28.

Since then I've had a love hate relationship with these dam infernal machines. I love the huge buzz you get from flying them and learning new moves
But I hate the way they have bled my extremely limited finances

Suddenly found myself with time on my hands, and a lot of time on my back.
Kid brother bought me an Airfix kit one Xmas for a laugh so I built it.
      Started doing plastic kits again.
Also started combat flight sim'ming again.
Stumbled on the RC modelling section of SimHQ and got hooked again, I used to RC in my early teens.
Got an mCX cos it would fly in my room and so I veered towards heli'ism despite a lifelong fascination with WWII fighters.
mCX led to mSR and ... well my sig tells the rest.

I am now doomed to zoom.

I bought a 2nd hand hummingbird v3 off of ebay about 4 years ago, taught myself to do lazy 8's on that with the help of a mate, then about 6 weeks later I bought a complete Raptor 30 off ebay. 16 odd models later here I am, 2nd place in the champs intermediates, and coutless thousands of £ worst off! Would'nt give it up for anything!

It started for me at the RC Hotel in Corfu where I was taught to fly by Spiros(not sure if that was a good thing) lol. Ive been hooked ever since. Im just dabbling with flybarless now so Im hoping for a decent winter to continue flying.

I flew planks for the last 16 years. About 4 years ago a colleauge asked me to by a helicopter becouse he wanted to become a dealer and he needed some people to sell 10 sets for the first attempt.
So I ordered one SJM 400 for about 270 Euros.
This was really a fu.....xcxyxcuiiii quality.
Actually I have learned to fly with a poor quality heli.
Everything which come later was far better.

I got back into RC gliders after 20 yrs a couple of yrs ago, then got chatting to a mate who had moved from cars to helis...thought no more about it until I impulse bought a picooz for a fiver on eBay, then got a contra which was fun to mess with. Now after spending a few weeks on a sim have bought a Gaui 255 off my mate and flew it for the first time last Sun at his club...didn't crash it and now hooked he's now trying to sell me a Trex 600 nitro pro....ooooh the temptation am managing to resist at the mo but not sure for how much longer!!

I was into custom bikes, still am realy just not so good to ride to far anymore, two goes with cancer left me twiddling my thumbs and a bit knocked about this was about four years ago, i've always liked helis from my days in the army(good feeling seeing your lynx comming to take you home) so as a bit of O.T. (bonzi enginering!) got a mini titan, still have it though it is now an A C Cobra scale, from then things have got much better tho i do not feel my hands and legs to well i have been well bitten by the heli bug wich has help'd me pull my self up by the webbing straps! i would also like to say i have met some real quality people through heli's who have helpd me overcome some of my prblems so a megga thank you to you all
