Guys,
Help me understand the format of the ‘Sets’ round in a competition such as last weekends Champs. I noticed that although each competitor needed to complete 4 set manoeuvres, they seemed to ‘pad it’ out a little with some flashy stuff to achieve a flight time of approximately 3mins.
Are you only judged on the set manoeuvres i.e. the bit between the ‘Start call’ and ‘End call’ or does the flashy bit in-between get taken in account either directly or by indirectly impressing the judges..?
If it’s only the set manoeuvres, could you go out fly them back to back and be done in a fraction of the time and not get penalised in the scoring (or risking your model in a flashy crash)?
Thanks,
Lee.
