I still really don't get why people think a Sim has to be just like your model? It's just not important, it's about learning the stick inputs nothing more or less. I've yet to have a go on anyones Sim(any of the ones out there) and though "Oh wow it's just like flying my real heli".

                    Agreed
Sims aren't meant to replace flying the real thing.
What their best at is training your fingers and brain to give the appropriate movements / inputs etc.

                    Phoenix does this VERY well

For obvious reasons, no sim will ever be exactly like flying the real thing. But as far as value for your money goes, Phoenix comes pretty close.

This will be the second major update, and have we paid for any yet? Nope, all free, unlike most (if not all?) other sims. If you really need your Heli to fly with interactions on the sim, then screw around with the calibration and end point on your tx, that will do it a treat. Personally I just use it and accept that my real Heli doesn't behave so perfectly, but it does teach you all the muscle memory you will ever need

phoenix is good and they have always been pretty good at reacting to public opinion. If enough noise is made they did things about it.

however just because its good doesnt mean it cant be better. If the human race didnt try to improve things all the time we would still be living in caves (even if sometimes it seems like we would be better off still living in caves).

I have also learnt a lot about business in the last 10 years. A lot of companies will do anything to save time and thus money and will not do something unless they have to either legally or the market forces them to.

In the case of phoenix a lot of their sales are supported by people coming on forums and reading what we say.

yes the sim is good and i dont thing much has changed on the market in the last 18months nobody has made any big steps forward but that doesnt mean that we cant ask more of our simulator sure we havnt had to pay for any of the updates but they have also sold a lot of simulators and i dare say made a lot of money.

So keep the feed back coming, if theres something you dont like about the sim say it out in the open where everybody can see it and they will have no choice but to do something about it.

As long as they keep selling simulators they will keep developing it.

well, the point of selling something is to make money, otherwise why bother doing it.

Phoenix continues to develop based on feedback, however, you will get far more from an email to phoenix than random ranting on a forum. I can tell you from direct experience in working with Phoenix that most of the changes (in the last year) have been made in response to emails not forums. Forums are just so full of contradicting views that to take much notice of them is folly. A well constructed and thought through email regarding something you feel is not right or needs adding will get far more attention.

                              I agree

However i have contacted Phoenix many times concerning problems by email and they only replied once

So i stopped emailing and am changing sims .

                                Tommy are you serious man!!

Phoenix is simply the best value for money simulator available are unbelievably popular just ask the 10-20 people who buy a copy from me week in week out throughout the year! There has to be a reason for this no?
Ok it has some little quirks but hell its a computer game (effectively) they all are! AS has been pointed out learn the stick inputs on it switch it off and go fly your real heli.
For £80 you get the sim thats very good as far as graphics/physics go certainly as good as it needs to be to do its job which it does wel.
Every model for it there will ever be every scenery etc all FREE to download updates FREE.

Now RF is not a bad sim i used to have it but when i realised that the base version cost over £100 then the 6 expansion packs another £20 odd each and the other update pack things (forget the name) another £20 odd each
I had £i350+ worth of software that frankly lacked so much in so many areas i never enjoyed using it.

Phoenix came along opened my eyes and i never looked back, ill stick with the good stuff thanks
