Rumours of Higgs boson being found

Hmmm a rumour about the discovery of a particle that's rumoured to exist.
These physicists are either going to get their breakthrough soon or start looking for a better theory.

There ARE other theories out there.

They were all laughing at multiple universe theory a few decades ago, now it's back in fashion because it's the only way they can tie the rival string theories together.

I have a reverse anthropic principle theory.
In it the universe rearranges itself each time sentient beings (Us - or some of us) get close to finding the answer.

Yeah, that could usher in the age of practical luminal velocities, if you could remove all the mass of an object, although that probably wouldnt remove the problem of time dilation at c.

Anyone played the Mass Effect games? They use 'element zero' to create mass effect fields to basically make ships weigh nothing so they can reach FTL travel etc. Pure fiction, but still a great concept in a fantastic game.

That's it, part of my argument is that the universe is sentient and changes it's properties just to keep us looking.
If you're sentient, infinite and eternal you have to find Something to do to while away the aeons.
