Great show at Woodspring Wings as usual, even better as Jamie Cole, Adam Turner, Ade & Stuart Smith were there strutting their stuff.
As I said great show but very biased towarsd the planks, have to make sure we get more heli slots next year, although Jamie is now saving up for the set of blades he scuffed on the runway.
Looked great that low inverted with puffs of white dust off the blades, shame they weren't his blades. LOL

Did anyone get any photos of the heli slots ??

Missed the 1st heli slot then waited
till gone 4.30 to see the smith brothers
fly only to find they werent flying and jamie
wss doing a solo slot.
He did a good job of it though very nice display
that got the plankers clapping

Travel 1hour + to share an 8 minute slot between the only 4 heli pilots there, then being tapped on the shoulder when starting up and told we were being cut down to 3 minutes. Even though they were running on time to the minute as I had already asked.. Couple of other annoying things, won't go on about it you get the picture

why not approach the organisers and suggest a different approach for next year, i know that Hellraiser has asked what the problems were in a PM which i feel is the way to do it rather than telling everyone on a public forum you werent happy, you guys have a fairly unique routine and thats what makes shows interesting
we all know that this hobby is biased towards plank flyers at most clubs, but there are more and more heli pilots appearing on the scene and just saying we arent going is not a great approach to promoting the heli scene is it
i was there and saw the 1st heli spot, mainly to watch Adam fly as recommended by some of his club mates i know, unfortunatley it didnt last long before his heli was back on the ground
that said that the blade scraping was fun to watch and the crowd enjoyed it,

maybe some more heli pilots should approach and offer some slots to the show, Scale or vintage ??? and help make helis a more central part to the show, maybe RCHA could offer a slot

anyway this thread started on a happy note and i would like to continue that by thanking hellraiser and his club mates for a well organised show with some great flying, and yes i do like the planks as well

He's flown there the few years and it's got worse not better.
Sorry that the Smith Brothers will not be there next year.
