You can't fly well enough to say the HS56 servos are slow! You haven't had anyone even look at your set ups yet.

I don't care what the nitro boys say, you should stick with electric for now and what you've got is nearly there. Sorry to be a bit harsh but buying what you think is better kit will be no substitute for practice, sim time and more practice.

I'm no expert flyer but have had a lot of time with various 450s and guarantee what you have could be set up and flying beautifully for less than 100 quid.

Definitely. No doubt about it. My GL450 has tower pro servos on cyclic, an Acerlab D12 MG servo on the tail and an HK 401B gyro and it flies very well indeed. 'Prob not to the liking of someone trying to do aggressive 3D but certainly quite a solid little setup for 'sport' flying and mild aerobatics.

I recently put Emax servos from GC on my Trex 450 (cyclics) and those work very well so far and are a little tougher as they have metal gears.

(I had HS56s on the Trex and if flew just fine but they were damaged in a crash when the pinion came loose and that's the only reason I replaced them)

The thing about 450s is that the setup is much more critical than for something like a Raptor 50. On a 450 everything, especially all the tail assembly and linkage and setup, has to be really right or it won't matter what blingy electrics you put on there. The smallest of adjustments to the tail setup can make all the difference.

Both mine use the carbon tail pushrods without any guides. If I had a spare one I'd gladly send it to you.
