I am forcing myself to turn into myself rather than out at each side of an 8 and although the left turn is more tricky to get accurate I am improving - I have also proved to myself that I can fly nose in (about time some would say!)...
I guess its the forcing yourself to fly your unconfortable manouvers that is the main issue, but once you have it sussed you feel so good about it

Yeah, I have been working on the lazy 8's called for in the A cert which is turning away. But I always do them the other direction as well when I practise and actually I can probably get better figure 8's turning in at the ends than turning away.

I had a handedness issue with anything to my left and have been working on that and now I feel it a lot less but it was very uncomfortable flying nose-in on the left or right side in vs left side in but I think I am slowly but surely overcoming those issues.

Regarding mak24seven's idea about flying at different fields; This is true. At one of the clubs I
fly at there are 3 flightline areas and one of them forces more flying to the right and one has more space but tends (for me anyway) to get me flying more to the left. Another club has a very distinct bias to the left so these kinds of things can get you a little out of your comfort zones and having to
            do different things.

Thanks Glenn, i think seeing others flys would be nice and rest assured i will come over one weekend bud , this thread is like a tuesday nights alcholics meeting " hello... my name is steve and i cant turn in on myself but i'm trying hard to overcome it" lol. It is actually very cool to hear i'm not allone on this one, there is so many videos out there of awsome flyers it is easy to get a little down beat about the lack of progress one is making, i didn't fly last year due to lack of time and other commitment's so this year i need to move on from where i'm at or i will bore myself to death . I may buy a little 250 so i get chance to practice orientation in the garden because once a week for a few hours if the weathers good is slow going.
