It does mate cheers, it validates my rash decision this morning when I ordered a pair of Rhino Gear 13T from FastLad

I figured the 13T would give good headspeed and I could limit it if necessary with a throttle curve, whereas the 12T limited the headspeed with no room for expansion.

nice- the more I see of the 500, the more I think that could be the way forwards for the next step, and that one looks lovely.

I only wish I could take the credit but it is Bruinbears build quality and spec selection. I am just chuffed I get to benefit from it.

It is sat on my living room table at the moment as it is raining and blowing a gale but I sorted the batteries this morning and set the servo reverses and swash mixes so it all goes the right way (amazing how quick that is the second time you do it, no headscratching )

I did nip it outside and spool it up earlier but the disc was wobbling in the wind so I bottled it. That and it is running the wrong pinion at the moment.

A whole new level of scary spooling the 500 up for the first time after the 450 (which still gets the heart racing)

            Hey Lee,
I was a little sad to see it sitting on your table, but I think it has gone to a good home and will be well loved.
Thank you for all your praise. It was good to meet you and your wife and if you're ever down this way let me know and maybe you could come and fly at our club as a guest (DMHC.co.uk). Maybe you could make it down for our 2010 Fly-in on the 4th July ?
I'm sure you'll enjoy the 500, it's a great bit of kit and is really enjoyable to fly.

            Mike.

              Cheers mate

Good to meet you too, I would love to make it down to the fly-in, have too see what work is doing closer to the time.

And it will be well loved, I have already given it a cuddle

I just need a reasonably calm day so I can get the bottle up to get it off the ground

Very nice, I dont know what it is but when you put a fusuon canopy on a trex it looks knockout, I have just put one on a trex 600n.

As to flying the 500 well if you have not flown one yet you are in for a treat, I started flying helis with a trex 250 then my second model was a 500 and OMG what a fantastic machine you are going to love it
