This is the 4th of 5th Charmouth i have been to, and the first time that mud has been a real factor.

Pete and I took one look at it, parked on the side of the road, then changed out footwear! Its really not that hard.

Ok, might take a couple of trips too and fro to get heli, flight box fuel etc to the field, but that aint no biggie.

Ill certainly be there for the Autumn event... Mud or no Mud!

I didn't go however from the sounds of it it was a great day and a success.

Now don't shoot me down !!!!! but Just a suggestion for the organisers, if this or any other site is to be used for such a venue and access may become a problem when it rains, may be worth getting a local farmer to supply you with some bales of hay. Then should the ground start to get a bit spongy from the trafficking then just break them open over the muddy patches, it will soon absorb the moisture and minimise the risk of vehicles getting stuck, it’ll also protect the landowners property. Some of those landowners/farmers are a funny lot would be shame to lose a good site for something like this.

I think that’s possibly what the OP was trying to suggest.

Big thumbs up to the organisers at Charmouth, fantastic event as per usual.

When i bought it the salesman told me it was no normal car.... no sir!!

So with this in mind i charged into the field with no concirn at all, brain firmly between my buttocks

The salesman was wrong. its normal and gets stuck. thanks to all for the push
