Lol, I'm on the ground in stiches. Dumb moment alert.
As some of you know I've been having problems with the Trex450 Sport cutting out midflight, losing all electrics and having one major crash and one fairly low off the ground the did no damage.
So since then I've decided to do some bench tests to see if I can replicate it. With no blades attached I couldn't get the heli to have a failure.
Since then I've moved up to having blades on with a pitch curve of 0-50% and have run the heli at full speed with no failure. So I went for a second go and was coming to the end of the 4.30min timer. As I had my mind on other things instead of just reducing the throttle I thought, sod it I'll hit TH it's easier. Totally forgetting the pitch curve was linear from 0-100%
I was watching the table and the next minute, no heli on the table and a massive BANG. I was like WTF???? Wheres my heli gone. I'm still not sure where it landed but it appears OK as it hit purely on the head button.
I'll have to check the trueness of the main and feathering shaft but the remainder of the heli looks fine.
Flat ceiling isn't looking the best and I bet I ****ed the neighbours off upstairs
