Hi everyone

Have been following this and similar threads as have just bought a Bantam BC6 in anticipation of charging 22,2v (6s) 2600mAh 30c lipos for a trex 500. The threads seem to imply that the BC6 will only charge at 2.3A which is less than 1C. In real terms (assuming normal flight discharge) how long does it take to charge a healthy lipo in the various modes available on the Bantam ie. charge only, balance charge, rapid charge?
Which mode is best and if using 6s lipos would it have been better to get a more powerful charger?

Is it 50w per channel, or is is 200w shared between the channels as required? i.e. would it charge 2 6s packs at around 4-5A (if it will do 4 of them at 2.2A per channel)?

AFAIK, it's limited to 50w per channel.

I have the bc6 charger it will charge a 6s 2600 at 1c 2.6A

Its 50w per channel,it will charge one 6s pack at 2.2A or 4 at once at 2.2A no more.

It actually starts 6s packs at about 2.3A or 2.4A but as the Lipos voltage comes up it settles in at 2.2A.

Charging 4 6s packs at once even at 2.2A sure makes the power supply sweat

Which charging programme do you use most and are there any down sides to using the fast charge option (apart from the fact that it only gives 95% charge)?

I've mainly use the balance charge I have used the charge program
but only a couple of times and never used the fast charge
