  • New Chargers

At a risk of everyone (or not) going out and buying one of these before i can save enough money up.

Has anyone seen these new (ish) chargers to the market??

    4 chargers in 1 !!!!!

Look like the dogs hangy bits to me , any reviews appreciated.

Well it is only 200 watts total, or 50 watts per channel, but looks like potentially a perfectly good budget charger. It would be particularly good for the smaller lipo packs - this would for example do 4 of my G5 6S1P 1300 packs at the same time (just.... with a bit of headroom to spare), or 4 3S1P packs up to 2800 - but that is tight with only a small margin for headroom (48.51 wats per channel).

My other concern is the quality/accuracy of the components in the balancing circuits, as this is a cheap as chips product when you think what you get for your money.

I am interested in one as it will be useful to do 4 at once (currently I can do 3 at once with my two chargers), but have not yet been re-assured on the quality/accuracy questions. I could then sell the Bantam - but I will keep the Groupner for ever.

So if anyone else hase solid info on this I too would be interested.

        Thanks for the link

I am right in thinking that it s possible to charge 4 batteries at the same time at a max of 5.0a each?? (Obviously if the battery can be charged at this rate).

I have got one,its limited to 50w per channel,200w total.

it will charge 6s packs at 2.2a,5s packs at around 2.9a and the lower count stuff faster than you need it to.

Its a good charger, and yes all 4 operate independent of each other.

I have such 4-in-1 and it's ideal for 450-500 class i.e. for approx 3s/2500 (2200-2500) or 6s/2500 (2500-2650) LiPo's. I have additionally bought 4x 2->1 serial adapters -> HobbyKing Online R/C Hobby Store : Twin pack charge lead (2 x 3S)6S $1.92 (and of course additional main leads) and can charge up to 8 (eight) 3s/2200 LiPo simultaneously. Same for 6s/2500 which I can charge 4 at the same time.
It's quiet, smaller than four separate, less cable mess (on supply side).
                I'm happy

Its max charge rate per channel is 5A but its limited to 50w so in real terms it wont be able to charge a 6s pack above 2.3A.

                        5s it will knock 2.9A,not tried 4s

3s and lower it will bang the full 5A in,per channel.

Most of my batteries I only charge at 1amp so its ideal for me also what I like about it its got an auto setting so just connect battery & auto detects the cells, comes with 4 sets of leads 2 balancers or you can plug battery balance lead direct into charger & it looks a beefy bit of kit.

Basically it will do everything i need it to do then LOL,

                            As my batteries are 2 x 1800mah 3s Lipos

1 x 4300mah 4.8v receiver pack etc etc, so nothing big like the 5 and 6s Lipo guys.

                            Excellent

Is it 50w per channel, or is is 200w shared between the channels as required? i.e. would it charge 2 6s packs at around 4-5A (if it will do 4 of them at 2.2A per channel)?
