OK that maybe an exageration, but after 18 months, Im a learner, but I still enjoy the hobby, learn at your own speed. There is no " after X months I can do this". If it takes me 20 years to fly a perfect circuit, thats how long it will take. JUST ENJOY THE HOBBY WITH NO TIME LIMITS

        Keep going

        Sean
        Absolutely spot on.

Keep it going m8, it will come to you little by little or in a huge rush but it will come.

You can ask anyone' winter months when you cant get out as much its like having to feell ya way back into it but once you start getting out more it gets easier again so just take ya time even if its hovering time teaches.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

One day at a time m8 - if it was easy then it wouldn't be so much fun when you manage to get one small bit right.

I honestley think the best thing is DONT watch the you tube video's of the flyers that get posted on here. I watch them and see comments like "after 3 months I have just done a tripple backward piro flip blindfolded with one arm tied behind my back

The best bit of advise i could give you is join a heli club with some experience pilot's, even if it means traveling
You will find that you learn more as you will feed of each over at your flying level

I came home all depressed today because i flew both days this weekend and nowhere near as good as last weekend...... however i remind myself that its been a great weekend and nice to get out doing the thing i love the most

The other thing is that there is never a "get there" scenario. It makes no difference what standard you are, you will always be moving on to the next step.

It's the massive challenge and elation when it rewards that keeps me going.

Slow or fast, i will be practicing and getting better till i'm six feet under

                        Keep at it mate.

Keep at it chris, its all stick time simple as that but structured and consistent! stick time if you dont get those things blaming yourself wont help it improve. Just relax take a break or whatever but you have to enjoy what your doing, youll get it.

Get to the club more often, if it wasnt for the social part/people I would have jacked in this hobby a long time ago tbh as I had been in the same position at some point.

It wasnt that long ago I stuffed in the Vision, stripped all the elecs out at the field, put them all up for sale on here, and swore I would never own a nitro again...... Only to buy a 600 a couple of weeks later and now looking at going 90 size

If it wasn't for the social part of this hobby, its easily to get frustrated..

Stick at it and wait for the summer

Thanks, I didn't watch the little Harry video honest just to see how it should be done I am going to cry now.

I wondering if I should change from thumbs to pinch if this might help slow stick movements down?

Yeah, I had a minor 'slump' a while back and was beginnng to think trying to get out there and fly through the winter was actually making my ability worse! My confidence took a hit and I got very annoyed.

I knew I was much better last year and just couldn't get back to where I should be and was not coping with the cold very well. But then I slowly got past that and crawled out of the slump and had a great day Saturday that felt right back to where I should be in terms of confidence. So, it just happens sometimes and you have to plow through it.
