You know when everything seems to be working against you?
First off flew the turbine N9, no real dramas there (Apart from me forgetting to flick idle up, flipping it over and nearly dropping something in my kecks!), in fact thats really starting to come alive now, did some reasonable 3d with it today.
Next flew my N9, was all going great, had an ok flight, and then when i went to fly again, my DX7SE spacked out and refused to let me select that model memory again. It lets me select every other memory, but when i get to no6 for the N9, it freezes the whole tx. Think its somehow corrupted that memory slot, so will get on the phone to horizon tomorrow to see if theres something I can do with it, as I really don't want to send my tx back!
So i setup a new memory for the n9, re-programmed it all, had an awesome flight with it, came in and re-fuelled, and went back out to have one more flight before changing to the new header that RcTintin sent to me (ported and polished), when half way through the flight while doing some very low aileron tic-tocs, it lost quite a bit of power. I thought I had blown a plug, but no. When I landed there was a nasty metallic rattle. Took the Hatori pipe off to find that the front half of the internal baffle has broken at the weld and is rattling around inside. It's only 9 months old, so I've emailed Real Raptors to see what they have to say about it.
Oh and I also found that I had left the mini glow driver attatched for the whole last flight! Though I best get in there with that one before any of my oh so lovely fellow club members come on here and bubble me up for it! Oh, and its not the first time either! Paul Sacko took some awesome photos of the day, and you can clearly see the glow in some of the photos! Had to laugh! Ah well, hopefully next weekend will go better, Shuglu is hopefully popping down for a visit, so fingers crossed everything holds together as it should!
