I had a really scary time with my Trex 450 se today, after having re-setup up the head to straighten it out, took her out to the garden to test her out and I nearly pooed my pants and almost slammed her into the ground..almost a major disastor...

It turned out that the pitch settings were way too much for a beginner like me, was set to +11 & -11. At one point I thought it was gona end in tears for sure, but somehow I re-gained control and steadily brought her back into a hover and managed to land her safely.

Really scared the hell out of me just how dangerous and scary these helis can be. I'm just thankful that someone up there saved my heli.

Anyway, after that I adjusted the pitch at low stick, so now it's giving just -3 instead of-11!

Will hopefully test her tomorrow to see if she flies any better.

Yep low end should be around -4 or you may find it hard to get it down in a breeze. Most new flyers tend to bang the throttle closed at any sign of danger, loss of control etc. First lession to learn not to shuttle the throttle at the first sign trouble unless you really have to.

know how you feel almost did the same with my 450 when i went idel up for the first time I should have switched back to normal before landing Doh
but on normal i have set it at -5 makes it easier to land in the wind.
